Christ Church is a community in transition.

Since February, four families have been meeting weekly in homes to pray, read Scripture, share meals, and build community. We shared our stories, our homes, and a common vision: to see a new church emerge in Brenham as a Holistic Missional Christian Community. Seven months later, the vision that God gave us is being actualized.

Pastor Dean Meade and the community of Calvary Baptist Church in Brenham have generously offered us the use of their facilities at 1100 Niebuhr Street (across from the Junior High). This Sunday we will begin public services as Christ Church in Brenham.

We look forward to God raising up His church from the soil of our small bible study. We look forward to participating in God’s justice, love, and redemption in the world. We look forward to God meeting us each week as we worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.

Please join us as we enter into this new phase as a newborn church. Our hope to is to live a life marked by community, love, confession, forgiveness, restoration, honesty, growth, and redemption.

We humbly gather now, as we have for months, to pray, read Scripture, share communion, and build community. We confess that God our Father is supreme, that Jesus, His Son, is our Savior and Lord, that the Holy Spirit is our Guide and Counselor, that God’s Word is our final authority for faith and life, and that God’s church is our family. We have no hope outside of God’s far-reaching grace.

We look forward to what God will do as we rest in Him.
